The Baxi Duo Tec 24HE combi boiler features a compact design suitable for confined spaces and is SEDBUK A rated demonstrating its energy efficiency, protecting the environment and lowering your gas bills.
The Greenstar Highflow 440 is a floor standing, energy saving boiler, suitable for a large family home such as a 2 bath house with a regular requirement for 1 or more simultaneous draw offs of hot water. It has a built in condensate pump which increases boiler siting options. As a result it can be sited directly underneath a worktop as all servicing can be undertaken from the front of the boiler.
The boiler can be used to provide domestic hot water only when first installed with radiators added at a later date as you move to a full central heating system.
Worcester Bosch claim that 97% of the gas consumed by the Greenstar Highflow 440 combi boiler is converted into heat for the heating and hot water system. This is achieved by recycling exhaust gases to extract and reuse the latent heat they contain. As the gases pass through a heat exchanger they are cooled to 55 degrees as the latent heat is released and transfered back into the system. This approach also reduces carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere.

The high hot water flow rate is also delivered at mains pressure enabling this boiler to provide a powerful shower.
It should be noted that the Greenstar Highflow 440 is supplied by the manufacturer as suitable for a sealed heating system with a 12 litre expansion vessel. This boiler can not be used on an open vent system. All hot and cold taps used with the Greenstar Highflow 440 must be suitable for operating pressures up to 10 bar (150 psi) and temperatures of 65 degrees .

Focusing on efficiency the design converts up to 97% of energy consumed into heat compared to 80% for other types of boiler. Accordingly it qualifies for an A rating.

- For convenience it has a keep hot facility which keeps the primary water within the heat cell hot. This will ensure that hot water is available instantly on opening the hot water tap.
- If the eco mode is engaged the keep hot facility is de energised and hot water will be heated from cold as required. Whilst this creates a slight delay it does improve the energy efficiency of the system.
- When the central heating is required the boiler will initially fire at a minimum output gradually increasing its heat generation to meet the requirement. Electronics within the boiler continually monitor this to match power output to domestic requirements.
